BOONE, N.C. — Nicole was just too generous, the hurricane bringing an expected 6 to 8 inches of rain to the High Country on Friday, which was just too much for high school football to be played. According to a communication from Watauga High School athletic director Dustin Kerley, the Round 2 matchup between Watauga and Northwest Guilford will be played on Saturday at Jack Groce Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
POSTPONED: Watauga football playoff vs. NW Guilford will be played Saturday, 6 p.m.
